Someone ask me to lend her $2K for 3 mths and says that she is running short of money. I lend her $1K and she now asked fo another $1k. I turn her down saying i have no spare. she asked me to borrow from my friend to lend her and will pay back 3 mths time when she sells her flat.What would you do?

    I would tell her absolutely not. Why would you risk spoiling your good name to support her bad habit? It sounds like this girl is ruining her life and needs to learn how to manage her money and her gambling addiction. You should try helping her instead of feeding the flame.

    I would nicely decline. If she were your friend she would never ask you to go into debt on her behalf. It sounds less like gambling to me and more like drugs?! I would suggest she take out a loan with a bank if she needs that money badly. But I would not get further involved w/ her and I would certainly not loan her any more money.

    You could also recommend she get a JOB.

    I would ask what happened to that 1k you lent to her earlier first? Without knowing what the money is going to be used for, I will not lend her any more money. Do not just assume she spent on some addictive habits. Maybe she needed for some kind of emergency. As her friend you need to find out what and try to find the best way to help her.
